It calls for a significant amount of charitable
work in order to make a difference in alleviating some of
the major ills and inequities afflicting the society. The bad news
is you can't do everything. The needs and challenges that
charitable trusts face are extraordinary. What many of the
charitable trusts are trying to do is extraordinary.
But the resources are limited.
We run
Sanvedana Foundation as
non-profit organization.
We know that doing everything is not equally
worth doing. We want to achieve maximum social
impact with the available resources. We have
defined a process to help us make important
decisions about how to allocate time, money, and
the staff.
We get associated with various
social organizations at various levels. We
intend to provide the helping hand to these
social organizations to achieve maximum social
impact. We plan to help them create awareness in
the society, raise funds, run their organization
like professional non-profit organizations,
prioritise the social changes they intend to
bring about and achieve maximum social impact
with the available resources.
At a broader level, we have two
types of relationships with various social
organizations. As initial engagement, we want to
help these organizations to create awareness in
the society with the promotion channels
available with us.
We want to get engaged at a
deeper level in making a long-term commitment to
organizations that are facing problems in
sustaining their operations or where our
evaluation shows that we can achieve maximum
impact with the available resources. |
